"General Patton could have taken all of Eastern Europe from the Germans" With one army? Do you have ANY idea how much Wehrmacht strength remained operational in Germany, never mind the Soviet Army? Zhukov used three times Patton's strength to break through the Seelow Heights alone, and that was just one of the three Fronts in the Berlin area, never mind the rest of eastern Europe.
