The scientists watched amazed, as the trial veered from its expected outcome. Several of the pagan scientists began to take scrupulous notes on the nature of the burning shrub. Some made up a "scientific" term to describe the burning of the shrub, pretending to understand the miracle in front of them. However, the god-fearing men among them saw the burning shrub as proof of the heavenly lords belief. Those religious, honest men were ostracized from the "scientific" community. − − == The Dirty Wellwater == − A town containing a well, the townspeople's only source of water, is plagued with muck. Days went by until the people of the town decided to do something about it. The liberals and the empirical scientists of the town decided to get together and think of a solution. They decided to sanitize the well with chemicals, which would surely get rid of the muck. As a result of the liberal's brilliant planning, the well water was cured of its sickness and the town was saved. Several days later, however, the townspeople became very sick and were lost as families throughout the town began to turn on each other. The conservatives of the town decided to take matters into their own hands and came up with a solution to cure the town of it's now amplified plagues. They came together and prayed to their ever-loving God, repenting their sins and asking for a cure for their predicament. The well water was transformed again into pure refreshing water and the people of the town were saved. −

A little girl is late home from school one day. Her mother becomes increasingly worried and after 15 minutes have passed is beside herself with anxiety. Afraid to leave the house in case the child returns, and desperate to go look for her, she is on the verge of telephoning the police when the child waltzes in through the door as though nothing is amiss. Relieved and angry the mother cries: "Where have you been?! I've been so worried!"
