| | :::”It's funny how being gay is an abomination to you, but you and a lot of other Christians feel no guilt when you eat a slice of bacon.” For the record I’m not a Christian but a Jew. While I do not want to speak for other people’s religion, everything I know and have read leads me to the conclusion that Christianity condemns homosexual relations. When you try to argue otherwise you’re not only arguing against the majority of the members of this site, you’re also arguing against just about every Christian clergyman and theologian there is, both past and present, and also against the very scriptures you profess to follow. | | :::”It's funny how being gay is an abomination to you, but you and a lot of other Christians feel no guilt when you eat a slice of bacon.” For the record I’m not a Christian but a Jew. | − | :::Despite the tremendous efforts liberals put in promoting homosexuality, it's still widely condemned around the world by members of all faiths and creeds. It is not only condemned by Judaism and Christianity, but also by Islam, Hindusim, Buddhism, Shinto, and just about every religion there is. If homosexual activists had not used some serious bullying in the 70’s, it would still be condemned by secular Psychiatry as well. Think about that the next time you decide to act on your urges. | + | :::Despite the tremendous efforts liberals put in promoting homosexuality, it's still widely condemned around the world by members of all faiths and creeds. | | + | :::And finally, regarding your lack of success in fighting your sexual desires. First of, were you aided by a therapist while fighting those urges or had you tried to conquer them by yourself? If it’s the latter than I strongly suggest that you go seek professional help so you might gain a better outcome this second time. |

| | :::With that, I am willing to accept that reparative therapy might not work for everyone. But even if it fails you it does not mean that you should surrender to your lust. Diseases are often relentless in the face of medicine but we still try to defeat them. In case you find yourself unchanged despite of all efforts, celibacy might be the answer for you. I know that cyproterone and Depo-Provera are useful in suppressing the sexual urge and if I were in your situation I would have seriously thought of using them. - [[User:Markman|Markman]] 03:14, 21 November 2011 (EST) | | :::With that, I am willing to accept that reparative therapy might not work for everyone. | − | ::Here I am, the 'sockpuppet'. I'll leave you guys alone. I really only came here speak freely. And you ban me. I acknowledged your warnings, thank you, and was only here to share my opinion. Is that a crime. No. It's actually a right of mine as an American. I was never hostile.

| |
| − | :::I think you've ignored everything I've said concerning previously living an "ex-gay" lifestyle. It was no mere "inconvenience." It was a danger to my livelihood. I would of eventually committed suicide, even with all the therapists, fasting, praying, self-beating, exorcisms, etc (I tried a lot, and I'm only fourteen; wow, considering that there are men that spent decades in reparative therapy and had no success, I'm guessing it would be safe to say that I should get away from that.) I'm glad you at least considered that it doesn't always work. It rarely works.

| − | :::The fact that you're Jewish negates every argument I articulated, unfortunately. I respect the Jewish culture and religion, and regard you all highly, for it is wrong to think otherwise. There was once a time where the majority of Christian leaders rejected the idea we orbited the sun, that it spoke against God's Word, but that view was obviously thwarted by reason. The truth is the truth no matter how few believe it, and the lies are false no matter how many believe it. This also is true of sexism, slavery, even killing thousands of people; this was all "justified" by the Bible, as the majority of ancient Christians had believed. If we are to take that Leviticus scripture literally... than you are to stone your children to death when they have constantly disobeyed your orders. Good luck following through with that.

| − | :::I'm confident that Buddhism is actually supportive of homosexuality. I know plenty who are. Oh, and I'm certainly not suffering from some mental illness, as Psychiatry had once believed. I'm perfectly healthy and happy, I just have different preferences from other people.

| − | :::I never chose to live a life where religious bigots (not you, but the more extreme individuals) constantly condemn me, Churches disapprove of me, and my peers are disgusted by me. Yes, you have one thing right: Why would anyone CHOOSE homosexuality? Simple; they never would. We are not heterosexuals who choose gay lives. We are homosexuals who live in gay lives because living otherwise is detrimental to our health and spirituality (ever since I left the ex-gay movement, I feel more loved and close with our Lord). And, whoever mentioned my fortune at not living in Iran, you do realize that you would also be killed for being Jewish/Christian in most Middle-eastern countries, correct? So why are you using that cruel comment on me specifically?
