:::Now that I think about it, separate pages for winter/summer Olympics is a good idea especially if we start to describe the various events in detail. --[[User:Jpatt|Jpatt]] 23:29, 28 January 2011 (EST)

::::Any suggestions as far as content and structure? For example, should we create a separate article page for Summer Olympics, a separate one for Winter Olympics, and keep this Olympics page, but only with information that applies to both types? I have made changes to this article so that the use of the phrase "Olympiad" reflects the IOC use of the term, to refer to the four year period in which the games are held. Therefore, the 2008 Olympics are the 29th Olympiad, not the 27th, and so on. (Three Olympics were canceled due to World Wars, and one unofficial Olympics was held in 1906, during the 3rd Olympiad). If we want to change it back to straight order, that's fine, but then we shouldn't call it "Olympiads". [[User:Gregkochuconn|Gregkochuconn]] 21:25, 8 December 2011 (EST)
