Conservapedia is obviously a reaction to Wikipedia, at least in part.  There is nothing wrong with this - I think it's healthy.  I give Jimmy Wales, et al., all due congratulations on the Wikipedia project, as well as the founders of this site.

Conservapedia, Wikipedia, and the like, are like organisms.  They evolve and adapt, and change over time - hopefully for the better.  Each one of us can make a decision to offer clear, informative, and helpful information for the reader.  I don't necessarily believe that it can or should be completely "unbiased."  Over time, Conservapedia can be cleaned up and made even more useful. The slogan "The Trustworthy Encyclopedia" is only an ideal to reach for, reminding all of us to make our contributions as trustworthy as possible.  (Jack Blair, January 8, 2012.)
