Line 35: − − I have been a conservative my whole adult life. Even though I am now Christian, there were several years where I was non-religious, and then into "eastern religion." My reasons for being conservative stem from beliefs in: A) value of a human embryo (pro-life) B) freedom in private business, C) disdain for militant liberal behavior, D) small government/free enterprise. My personal experiences with government organizations (DMV, Food Stamps, Medicaid lines, workers in government offices) indicate to me that the government is much more inefficient than private business. You may say I'm a hypocrite for using food stamps and medicaid, but conservatives are not in favor of reducing these benefits for people who are legitimately deserving. (I am on disability for mental illness.) Also my social experiences incline me to be conservative. Here are some reasons: A) I went to a private high school with black students who got scholarships for financial need. I was unable to pay tuition myself (mother filed bankruptcy, single mother), and yet did not get that same financial aid. This is obviously due to "affirmative action," a liberal agenda. B) Black people with "attitude." Example: Yesterday, I was at a restaurant waiting to be seated. My friend was sitting on a bench, and there was a black woman sitting about 1 foot away from my friend. On the other side of the black woman was enough room for another person. I asked the woman "Hi, is someone sitting there?" "No." "I would like to sit next to my friend. Is it possible you can move over?" In response, she said defiantly "I'm not moving anywhere." This makes absolutely no sense. Why would the woman not move if she was perfectly capable of doing so? This is not a religious issue. It's a social one. TO BE CONTINUED.

Of course it is. I'm glad that, though I don't agree with everything on this site, the definition of "conservative" hasn't changed so drastically so as to mean "male white Christan heterosexual." -[[User: ConsevatismisOK[Who's Asking]]
