[[Sunday]] is the first day of the [[week]] in the [[America]]n calendar. Its name comes from [[the Sun]]. Unlike the other days of the week, Sunday is not named after [[pagan]] gods (Woden, Thor, Frey).
The [[Bible]] tells us to Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. However this was told by [[Moses]] to the [[Jews]], not by [[Jesus]]. For this reason Jews worship on Saturday instead of Sunday.[http://www.raycomfort.com/articles/sabbath/index.html]
Most people go to [[church]] on Sunday. Many places, like [[bank]]s and [[store]]s, are closed. Some cities have what are called [[blue law]]s that prevent people from working on Sunday (also see: [[Lemon test]]).
