::::::::::You would also need to factor into your calculations the fact that the Superbowl Ads have a certain "fame" to them, and therefore will hold extra-ordinary significance for the money paid.  Boy you will be busy working all this out!!  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  --[[User:DamianJohn|DamianJohn]] 23:28, 31 January 2012 (EST)

:::::::::::It's not to big a task. We've already established thus according to information available the Rugby World Cup generates about $10 million per game (we don't know if that's a net or gross figure). Yahoo answers.com says the Ohio Buckeyes, a typical American collegiate game, generates $64 million gross and $28 million profit. So the RWC is even out of its league competing with the NFL. Pay per view and cable shouldn't matter, ads rates are roughly equivalent, and the demographics can be more specifically targeted. I'm not aware of to what extent cable is prevalent in the Second and Third World, but it shouldn't really matter or impact on cost comparisons.  [[User:RobSmith|Rob Smith]] 13:31, 2 February 2012 (EST)
