Unfortunately, Christianity has been hijacked by sexually repressed, bigotted and vindictive personalities bent on reverting American society to a hybrid theocratic and plutocratic society. They mistakenly believe this narrow viewpoint will lead people to their "perceived" truth. Unlike the teachings of Jesus, some modern "Christians" advocate political policies designed to punish and marginalize the poor, the sick and those with any other faith. Also, they advocate weakening and abolishing environmental laws, thus defiling, for all future generations, God's greatest gift to man, the planet Earth.
