So, this probably isn't the right place for this and I'm fine if someone decides to move/delete it, but I've never been able to reconcile the argument that (a)allowing same-sex marriage would confer "special rights" to homosexuals which aren't available to heterosexuals with the argument that (b) homosexuals already have the right to marry, they just have to marry someone of the opposite sex. It seems to me that I can believe one or the other, but not both. Am I missing something? I'm asking here because I think it might have something to do with exactly how we define "special rights," but I can't quite see it. Help? [[User:JustinD|JustinD]] 00:49, 11 March 2012 (EST)
