:::: Sure you can.  Darwin's theory and its successors (which have been important enough to generally be what's meant by just "the theory of evolution") have to do with the evolution of living things from earlier living things.  You could also have a theories of planetary evolution or of political evolution or weather evolution or cultural evolution, for example.  By my reading, Maxwell is denying that a valid theory of molecular evolution can be created.  So now: what in the quote leads you to the "among other things"?  Or do you <i>really</i> believe that Darwin's theory claims to account for how molecules themselves evolve? --[[User:Jtl|Jtl]] 02:43, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
