You have to say what their purpose was, or else the article would be misleading or even biased. You can't say they simply gave guns to criminals, unless we have a source having that POV. It should also be added that Fast and Furious was not the first of its kind. Operation: Wide Receiver (2006-07) was the first ATF gunwalking probe into Mexican drug cartels and was also a horrible failure, resulting in NO arrests or indictments until 3 years later (2010), when only 5 people ended up being arrested and incarcerated.
