→‎Moral issues: Three obvious questions and one obvious remark
Line 62: Line 62:
Some conservatives oppose illegal immigration because it allows for immigrants to fall between the cracks of society thus making them more likely to commit crime or experience poverty.  Other conservatives view illegal immigration as an exercise in a basic [[individualism|individual]] [[human rights|human right]] to pursue happiness.  Illegal immigration is also economically damaging to countries because illegal immigrants will often work illegally for below minimum wage, resulting in job loss for legal citizens.

Three obvious questions and one obvious remark:
 +
 +
1. Did it occur to anyone that it is illegal to be illegal? Since then, doing illegal things intentionally is morally acceptable?
 +
 +
2. "We are all immigrants"; Yes, almost all Americans are descendants of immigrants; but of legal ones.
 +
 +
3. "We have to show compassion."  Question: Does compassion mean that America should let in  ALL the poor and oppressed people of the world, all the 3-4 '''bil'''lion people?  If not, then why should we favor just Mexicans who force their way illegally? Guatemalans, for example, are extremely poor, very peaceful (nobody ever heard of Guatemalan gangs), hard working, and we are not helping them.  Is our selective compassion moral?

Our system, that great gift to our nation and to the world given to us by the Founding Fathers, was developed with practicality and morality being the one and only imperative of the design, making the firm foundation of our country, lasting for more than 200 years. Now we are admitting tens of millions of people of very different backgrounds, from many  countries which are  anti-democratic and with deep culture of corruption - without Americanizing them, that is without making them understand and appreciate our unique, great system. American Constitution, Federalist Papers, are not taught at schools and even at universities. Our country and our system is not just one of many, not just as good or bad as any other. Let us keep it forever!  Let us never forget Franklin's answer to the woman who asked him right after the Constitutinal Convention: "- So, what system are you giving us?" - "Republic; if you can keep it."
