He's about to lose everything
In '''''Enemy of the State''''' (1998), the [[Will Smith]] character is having a bad day that's about to get worse. He's been threatened by a mafioso, and a former acquaintance has just died violently (almost in front of his eyes). It all has to do with a murder that political higher-ups ordered to further their ambition for power.

He's got a job as a lawyer, a son who's a video game addict, a housekeeper, and a politically-conscious wife (who has a small dog). He's about to lose this happy home, when spy agency goons find out he has a tape of the murder.
