Polyamory is a general term to denote relationships involving more than one individual. In polyamorous relationships often one man is “dating” several women and each of the women is in turn dating several men.<ref>[http://questionevolution.blogspot.com/2012/06/atheism-and-unstable-relationships.html Atheist leaders and immoral relationships]</ref>  There are many different interpretations of how a polyamorous relationship works (just as there is for a monogamous relationship), but one core precept that the polyamorous community follows is the explicit knowledge, understanding, and consent of all involved individuals.
