::: Ugh, the reasons GPS devices don't contain the rigerous transformations that relativity "would seem to require" is very simple. The satellites are in geosynchronous orbits, and the difference in time that relativity causes only need to be calculated once. From then on, it's simply a case of adding a few ms every day to the satellite clocks to account for this. I would've thought that was obvious to an expert.
