A busybody is someone who meddles in, or pries into, other people's business.[1] Being a busybody is a liberal trait, since a major distinction between liberals and conservatives is that liberals believe in controlling one another's affairs.

Liberals often attempt to confuse people by falsely labelling conservatives as busybodies. For example protesting against gay marriage is portrayed as an attempt to controll one another´s affairs when it is actually just carrying out the will of God. The same goes for regulation of pornography. Liberals have the idea based on false logic that what one views in the privacy of their own home is their own business, however, pornography represents a decay in the morals of society and therefore anybody who is trying to ban it is not a busybody but is doing great work.

Examples of actual busybodies are people protesting ''against'' wars, ''for'' healthcare, ''against'' the ¨destruction¨ of the environment, ''for'' greater regulation of corporations and the so called Occupy Movement.

The activity seen on Facebook is a strong example of busybodies in action. Being a busybody is condemned in I Peter 4:15.
