|Murray won his first match against Stanislas Wawrinka in straight sets and will face Jarkko Nieminen in the Round of 32. Djokovic dropped the first set of his opening match to Fabio Fogini of Italy after a lengthy rain delay. However, he came back to win in 3 sets. The two will face off in the semifinals if they get that far.  

|Both players won their first two matches to advance to the Round of 16. Murray will face Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, while Djokovic will face Lleyton Hewitt of Australia. The two will meet in the semifinals if they get that far.
