Steve Austin (born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964; age 59), is a retired American professional wrestler.

He is best known for his days with World Wrestling Entertainment under the ring name "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a name he adopted as there was already a wrestler also named (real name, not stage name) Steve Williams, a former Oklahoma Sooner football player who was already established in the industry as "Dr. Death" Steve Williams (at the time, Steve had taken his stepfather's name as his surname). He would later legally change his name to his famous ring name.
