Suella Braverman
Suella Braverman (b. 1980) is a British barrister and Conservative Party politician, who has served as Member of Parliamen for Fareham in Hampshire since 2015.
Early life
Suella Braverman was born Sue-Ellen Cassiana Fernandes in Harrow, Greater London on 3 April 1980, to Uma (née Mootien-Pillay) and Christie Fernandes, both of Indian descent.
Career
Braverman was one of he eight candidates who stood to replace UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson following his resignation on 7 July 2022.[1]
Political views
Braverman is generally agreed to stand on he right-wing of the UK Conservative Party. She supported the successful referendum campaign to end Britain's membership of the left-wing globalist EU bureaucracy.
Social issues
On abortion and assisted suicide, Braverman has largely opposed the pro-death mob. For example, she has opposed the legalisation of assisted suicide in 2015, the introduction of on-demand abortion in England and Wales (inaccurately labeled as 'decriminalisation') in 2017 and making 'DIY' home abortions permanently available in England in 2022. However, Braverman has been largely ineffective in standing up for the rights of unborn children, abstaining from critical votes on abortion in Northern Ireland and anti-free speech laws that create buffer zones around abortion clinics, as well as voting "Yes" in a 2022 parliamentary vote to give the Northern Ireland secretary further powers to impose the commissioning of abortion services on Northern Ireland.[2]
Relating to the trans agenda, Braverman has stated that "100% of women do not have a penis".
Concerning the systemically anti-white racist 'critical race theory', Suella Braverman slammed such teachings as "left-wing militancy" and said that "we need to stop making white people feel guilty for being white".[3]
