Take the Day Off (book)

Take the Day Off: Receiving God's Gift of Rest is a book by Robert Morris, Senior Pastor of Gateway Church. It was originally published in 2019 by FaithWords, a division of Hachette Book Group.

The central theme of the book is the concept of Sabbath rest (the "O" on the cover is stylized like the off button on most computers). It should be noted that Morris is not teaching that the traditional Sabbath (Saturday) is the rest day, nor Sunday; as Gateway holds services on both Saturdays and Sundays he personally uses Monday as his rest day.

Morris considers this the third in a "trilogy" of books on related subjects: the other books are The Blessed Life (which discusses giving generously and living in such a manner) and Beyond Blessed (which discusses the concept of stewardship).
