Talk:24 (TV series)
Other controversial events
There are other controversial/offensive storylines and scenes which might be worth noting. Season 1 includes a rape. In Season 3, Jack Bauer (the protagonist) is addicted to heroin and is repeatedly shown using it. In one season an innocent woman is tortured by the hero characters. In Season 5, the US President is corrupt and evil (however all the presidents shown during the series are fictional). MrGrieves 21:53, 24 April 2008 (EDT)
General Improvement
Two things strike me right off--This page reads more like an advertisement or TV Guide review than an encyclopedia, and the page name "24" might not be the best. That title is not specific--something like "24 (television)" or "24 (show)" would seem better to me. Additionally, if what MrGrieves said is true, other revisions might be in order as well. --David B (talk) 01:29, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
I watched the first three episodes of this series. They do try to be creative and keep it exciting, but here's some of what I've seen so far:
- Season 1 starts with America's first African-American Presidential candidate (Obama?) being the target of "extremists" who want him dead for his skin color alone. A rather far-fetched idea in this politically correct environment.
- In the first two episodes, I counted three different commissions of adultery between three different couples. I might have missed some, too...hard to say. It hints at at least one more.
- In episode 3, two lesbians are shown acting inappropriately.
In All, doesn't this sound like a great series for CP to be advertising? --David B (talk) 12:34, 24 March 2016 (EDT)
"Greatest Conservative TV Show"
I know this show represents the use of force where needed to protect the US and people in general. However, considering all of the moral issues, should this really be categorized in "Greatest Conservative TV Shows"? --David B (TALK) 23:09, 27 November 2016 (EST)
