Was billed as "Jesus' view on War"

"Turn the other cheek"

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"

Whose interpretation is this, that any of these are a Biblical injunction against war? Is there a major denomination or even a prominent theologian who uses these as grounds for pacifism, or what? --Ed Poor 16:28, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

I just don't believe that out of context quotes (even if they are further explained or try to present an argument) have any place on a site that claims to be trying to present the truth. One should not base the entirety of an article on quotes. --Mtur 16:32, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

It would still be nothing more than a collection of out of context quotes. That does not help anything and should not be a substitute for citing sources. One can easily find quotes from anyone which prove anything. --Mtur 17:18, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

changing quote?

I know this site is supposed to stay away from vulgarity and swears, but the quote, "fighting for peace is like ..." sounds awful the way it's written. Jrssr5 12:46, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
