Talk:Beatrix Potter
From Conservapedia
As well as nuking the unforgivable "center around", I deleted: Unlike other Victorian children's books, many of her tales lack a clearly defined moral message.
- First, her first book was published the year after Victoria died.
- Secondly, no British children's book I can think of from her era has a distinct moral message that a child would recognise - not the famous ones at least: Whinnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Wind in the Willows, The Railway Children. (I am not sure about The Secret Garden; I was older when I read it.)
