Talk:Billy Graham

I'm getting tired of being reverted all the time, so I'll just say it here. I think the sentence "Graham message caught fire ..." should be "Graham's message ...". I think it's a possessive. The message of Mr. Graham. And possessives use an apostrophe except in unusual cases.

On another matter, I was about to make another change, but I'm sure it will just be reverted. I think "Graham was parted from his wife of over 60 years" should be "Graham's wife of over 60 years passed away". I understand that we try to use nice expressions for death, especially in the extremely devout, such as "called home to the Lord" and such, but, in this day and age "was parted" could easily be taken to refer to a divorce. That's not what we want to say.

Sorry. I did not intend to do any of the "deadat99" reference changes. I only intended to do the "Graham's" change. The other stuff was completely inadvertent. I'm generally really careful not to botch things (check diff, check preview, all that), but I apparently failed.

Hmm. Perhaps taking something other than the latest version as my base could have caused that, but I'm really careful when I do that sort of thing, because I know that I will be implicitly reverting something. And the software puts up a big warning when that is about to happen ("you are editing an outdated ..."). I don't think I was doing that, but I could be wrong.
