New Brighton, I meant. Merseyside is named after the river Mersey. And Liverpool is named after a particularly smelly pool of laver (type of seaweed, Porphyra spp.) beside which it originally grew up. --Jeremiah4-22 14:11, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
