Talk:C (programming language)

C does not have an "integrated inline assembler". Although I believe K&R listed 'asm' as a reserved word, its use was never specified in any vender-neutral way, and it is not included in the current definition of the C language, ISO 9899. Many C compilers provide assembly escaped as extensions, but that is not at all the same thing as the language providing it. Jtl 04:37, 3 April 2007 (EDT)
