We all know Islam never truly died in the Southern bloc, especially in the Fergana valley and Karakalpakstan. In hence there isn't a collapse of atheism, merely Islamism is becoming more public. The Soviets would have been able to keep the Andijon uprisings out of the public eye, but reporters in 2005 noted how disorganized the Uzbek troops were in Babur square.--IluvAviation (talk) 15:30, 13 August 2017 (EDT)
