Talk:Friends (TV show)

It's a pretty big jump to say that the show had "little long-term influence in television or culture." People still use the phrase "Ross and Rachael" to describe a certain type of relationship -- even on other TV shows. The show is in daily syndication on a number of television stations, so it is still viewed daily by many people. I don't see why we removed the {{fact}} tag from this statement. I think it's more the nature of the fact citation used in places where its application is meaningless. Are we really going to find a source that says it had little long-term influence in television or culture and, if so, would that be the definitive word on the issue anyway? In reality the statement should either stand or be removed and, based upon who put it in, I'm in no rush to remove it. Learn together 15:51, 18 December 2007 (EST)
