In 1889, John Dewey wrote an essay titled "The Late Professor Morris", parts of it are copied in. Dewey's writing first appeared in The Palladium, Volume 31(Text search only) in 1889. Also, parts of what Dewey wrote appear in "The life and work of George Sylvester Morris", and the website for Brock University explicitly states that the full text of the document is in the public domain.[1]
