I have tried to merge this article with Harry Truman. Could someone please merge the titles of each article? --User:Additioner 23 April, 2007, 13:54.

This sounds inaccurate

“ Nevertheless, he pursued civil rights through executive orders, especially a 1948 order to end racial discrimination in the military. Blacks remained in segregated units, but were to receive equal treatment. ”

If I am not incorrect, didn't Truman's executive order desegregate the military? I was always taught it did, and several sources, including Wikipedia and History.com, say it did. Maybe I am wrong, but most sources say it desegregation the military, and if so, this section should be revised/removed. -Mr. Nationalist (talk) 19:39, June 20, 2023 (EDT)
