Talk:Koch's postulates

With all due respect, what is this? "Epidemiological association", "Isolation", "Transmission Pathogenesis", etc.? It sounds like the kind of highly questionable material one might find in a 2nd rate college textbook. It doesn't appear to clarify so much as stupefy the reader into submission. This might be okay for keeping students busy and focused, but I believe it's silly to carry over such militant material into a generally read encyclopedia. Hello RickD, Epidemiological association is the association of a factor that is affecting the health and illness of a population. In other words, it is the link of a pathogen to a specific condition. Isolation means what it means, the isolation of an object (in this case a pathogen "disease causing agent". Transmission pathogenesis, is how the pathogen is transmitted and by what methods. My definitions are overly simplified; however this terminology is standard for a basic microbiology course, nothing new or militant about it.--Able806 15:54, 8 January 2009 (EST)
