Is "imaginary" the best way to describe them? I mean, they're arbitrary, and they don't exist in any directly observable way, but the word "imaginary" suggests some sort of capriciousness to me, which is decidedly not their purpose. --John 22:35, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

Recreate article as "Latitude"

Currently we have an article at Lines of latitude and another at longitude and I think this need to be standardized one way or the other. I would suggest moving this to simply latitude, and will do so if there are no objections. --Colest 16:26, 16 May 2007 (EDT)
