I like real names, but there is also the obscurity factor. Here's my take on stage names and pen names:
- Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) - He went by 1st, his pen name
- Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) - he preferred the 2nd, his real name
- Madonna Ciccone - stage name is just her first name, but let's use full name for the article

Actually, Mr. Poor, you make a good point and that should not be necessary. Obviously, one would much more readily look up Mark Twain than Samuel Clemens. Sure there are redirects, but it all could be a bit confusing. Much appreciate the good will!--JamesWilson 19:59, 1 September 2011 (EDT)
