Until modern times, there was never a distinction to what 'marriage' consisted of. In keeping with that logical tradition, marriage does not mean between two men even if the state says homosexual marriage exists. I would think that it was because of your clever wiki-lawyering, parsing the article to remove the main purpose of the organization, which is to defend heterosexual marriage, not all kinds of "marriage" as defined by liberals.
