This article suggest that there was an ice age 10,000 years ago in Norway. I thought the Earth was created 6000 years ago? Feichineejits 18:04, 29 May 2007 (EDT)

The evidence tells us that there was an ice age 10,000 years ago but the Bible says otherwise, personally I would go with the evidence but Conservapedia isn't known for it's neutrality. Kids in school in Norway are atleast being taught that there was an ice age as the evidence proves. --Hadron 05:33, 23 February 2008 (EST)

I don't want to start an edit war, but I don't appreciate my edits being reverted with no justification. I made the true statement that Norway is a socialist country and mentioned a plausible effect (that Norway has a higher suicide rate than the U.S.), with documentation. It's a well-known fact that socialism squashes individual liberty and so it makes sense that people in such a country would find their lives meaningless and hopeless. I'm putting the edits back in until a plausible reason for removing them is offered. ---DennisR 02:49, 13 August 2011 (EDT)

The edit you posted - "Norway is a socialist country, which is probably what accounts for the fact that Norway has a higher suicide rate than the United States of America, which is a capitalist nation" - is speculation, and made so by your use of the word "probably". You're further making a speculative statement by taking your reference and making a connection to socialism where none exists in that reference. You have to be accurate here. Fair enough, I admit that the connection is somewhat speculative, but I feel like the article should have some mention of Norway's socialism and the negative effects on its society. Maybe there could be a separate section on that? I'd be happy to put something together. ---DennisR 10:42, 13 August 2011 (EDT)
It's possible to have a comparison here...for example, you could mention "Norway has a suicide rate of 10 per 10,000, vs. a rate of 9 per 10,000 in the United States", or something to that effect. You could place it within the "People" subtopic under a new subtopic called "Demographics". Now, it doesn't prove a socialist connection, but it is still a fact based upon the ref you provided. The socialism part could be stated within a different subtopic, citing GDP before and after, effects of socialism upon the country, what voters have done in response, and so on.
