Anti-communists have called Poland a "captive nation", one which is nominally independent but over which the USSR exercised considerable influence - not to say interference. Ford was (at best) unclear, at a crucial point in his speaking career. --Ed Poor ^Talk 11:27, 27 November 2008 (EST)
