My last edit history comment had a mistake. It should have read "style and purpose" not "style of purpose"--RickD 17:54, 15 December 2008 (EST)

Shouldn't the sub-heading "Magnus Opus" be "Magnum Opus"? PaulBurnett 23:15, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

yes--I fixed it. RJJensen 03:01, 7 June 2009 (EDT)

Latest version

Top notch work. Pleasure to read, Dr. Jensen. --RickD 08:41, 21 July 2009 (EDT)

Minor typos:
  • The sentence "His realism deepened..." found in the lead is missing something, possibly a conjunction.
  • There are "}}" just after the Morton White quote.
  • "a touch ofirony" going into the quote is missing a space.

Misleading section title

  • Fairly sure that the section title "Niebuhr against anti-Catholicism" misrepresents Niebuhr's actual concerns. Niebuhr supported an mayorial candidate who was a member of the RCC only because he thought the Protestant candidate's open approval and material support by the KKK was heinous. I've read parts of a biography on Niebuhr before, I seem to recall that he remained quite reformed and from a theological standpoint was a lifelong anti-Catholic (in a similar or in the same sense as Martin Luther or John Calvin). --RickD 11:36, 28 January 2010 (EST)
