Firstly, can I suggest that this page be merged with the Sinn Féin page. Secondly, Fianna Fáil would, I'm sure, strongly contest Sinn Féin status as the "main republican party".
My intent in writing that was to convey 'republican' as opposed to 'nationalist' (and as in 'the republican movement' rather than republican meaning 'in the republic' or 'supporting the republic'. Pachyderm 17:12, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
