Talk:Southampton

Is it strictly necessary to mention the Mayflower at all? Conservative viewpoints do not necessarily require an Americo-centric position. Southampton is vastly more famous for being the port from which the Titanic set sail, amongst many other historical occurences, including various invasions of France (notably Henry V set off from Southampton.) It also has an historic city wall, and some exceptionally good quality medieval city defenses, including old gun towers.

If it is notable, factual and interesting why not? Why should more fame for something else exclude this fact? DavidMilton 19:04, 30 August 2011 (EDT)
