I believe it was Village Voice that bought the Phoenix New Times, and not the other way around. I'll look it up and adjust the article if I'm correct.--CamilleT 11:53, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

I know nothing about either paper, but this suggests that it was a 'merger' of the two that led to the Phoenix chaps being in charge of the merged entity. Jcw 12:06, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
