The Huns weren't a Germanic tribe

Maybe it's not my place to comment on your homework, but I thought Student 3's answer to Question 4 was awful. For a start the Huns were Eurasian, not Germanic; they came from the Steppes. Secondly Attila's aim was to gain land; fighting was just how he did it, not his sole aim as the student said. --VTraynor 20:20, 8 October 2011 (EDT)

I just checked the CP entry on the Huns and it correctly says that they came from Asia. Calling them Germanic is just wrong. --VTraynor 20:31, 8 October 2011 (EDT)
I also don't think we should be commenting on others homework. I would however point out that the student only recieved 39/40 so I am sure Andy is well aware of the mistakes. They are not major ones that should result in any further loss of marks. --DamianJohn 22:29, 8 October 2011 (EDT)

@DamianJohn: The point was taken of for question 2, with Aschlafly commenting: The first two sentences are correct, but the third sentence is wrong (minus 1). Well, the third sentence is It was ruled by the Senate who`s sole purpose was to serve the people. That's of course wrong, but it seems that Aschlafly took offense with the fourth sentence The Roman Empire began in 2000 B.C. - which is even wronger. The wrong claim about the Huns being Germanic (which is a popular misconception due to a speech by Kaiser Wilhelm II) wasn't admonished.

Frankly, the grading is something Aschlafly has to discuss with the parents of his pupils....
