One should reform this userbox! It's like "only Americans should be conservative" or like "you shouldn't be proud to be conservative if you're no American!" I suggest to change the userbox to "...but is anyway conservative". --Elessar (talk) 14:37, 19 July 2017 (EDT)

I disagree. Compared to most countries, at least other individualistic Western countries, America is the most conservative/libertarian country in the world. Conservatives in other countries tend to be more liberal by American standards. Considering this is a conservative encyclopedia with most readers/editors being Americans, I think it's just a way of telling others that one is not from the U.S. but still is conservative, similar to American conservatives in ideology. --1990'sguy (talk) 15:35, 19 July 2017 (EDT)
Yes, this is exactly what I suggest: replace it by "...but is anyway conservative" or "still conservative". If there stands "...but is still proud to be conservative" it's like you shouldn't be proud of it if you're no American. You can replace it with "really conservative" or "conservative and proud" but the current form is even like prefering being liberal outside of America. --Elessar (talk) 16:18, 19 July 2017 (EDT)
OK. I think I see what you mean. I can support changing the wording to "...but is still conservative", removing the "proud" part. I don't support those other options, however. --1990'sguy (talk) 16:29, 19 July 2017 (EDT)
Very good, thank you. In order to show one is really conservative (and not like Merkel e.g.) you can also replace it by "truly conservative". I made a proposal on my user page. --Elessar (talk) 16:33, 19 July 2017 (EDT)
