Texas campaign finance

Texas campaign finance is notable for the many mega-donations made to Texas political campaigns. Texas is one of 11 states where there is no limit on campaign donations by individuals in statewide races,[1] and million-dollar contributions have become common there.

Accordingly to Ballotpedia (as of May 2015), there has likewise been no limits on individual contributions to campaigns for the Texas House and Senate.[2]
