Frunze Military Academy (Soviet Union)

Than Shwe (born February 2, 1933) was the Burmese military dictator until March 10, 2011. A member of the Burmese Way to Socialism Party, Shwe along with Saw Maung helped oust socialist leader, Ne Win. After Saw Maung died, Than Shwe became leader but stepped down in 2011 due to Western-backed protests which led the way to Aung San Suu Kyi eventually becoming the leader.
