The Asphalt Jungle (1950) was a John Huston-directed, critically acclaimed movie about a jewel robbery followed by a comedy of errors.
It confirmed Huston as a first-rate screenplay writer and director, and helped launched Marilyn Monroe's career as an actress.[1]
