The Cat in the Hat is a classic children's book written by Dr. Seuss. It was first published in 1957 and continues to be a popular selling children's book.

In 2003, a live action film adaptation was released starring Mike Myers as the titular character. The movie was rather infamous for including a lot of adult humor despite the target audience being children and families, enough that it should have gotten a PG-13 rating instead of a PG-rating (see Essay:Worst Liberal Movies).
