Starring John Wayne, its director John Ford sought for 20 years to make a movie about his homeland (his real last name was "Feeney"). He won an Academy Award for best director for his effort in making this film.
An Irish pub named O'Sullivan's, located in Escondido, California, supposedly runs this movie continuously for its patrons.
