This Was Your Life is a religious tract written by Jack Chick. It is the most well-known of his tracts, most recently updated in 2007, and remains in print. It is shown under the tag "Basic Gospel" along with the tags "Most Popular Titles" and "Older Children and Adults".

The tract depicts a man, admiring his worldly possessions, who suddenly dies and is buried. At Judgment Day he stands before God, and the events of his life (mainly sinful ones) are replayed to his horror. Tragically, he is shown at a church service, totally disinterested in the pastor's sermon, and rejects Christ; as a result he is condemned to Hell.

However, an alternate ending is shown where he accepts Christ, lives a Christian life, and at death is accepted into Heaven.

Because of the tract's popularity, Chick has written alternate versions for different audiences, all of which are in print:

  • "It's Your Life", featuring a black man but otherwise maintains the sketches and dialogue of the original
  • "You Have a Date", featuring an adult woman (differs slightly from the original in that it shows her abandoning her family, and engaging in bisexual behavior; her rejection scene shows her as rejecting the Gospel as "intolerant")
  • "Your Best Life", written for Muslims and featuring an Arabic man (in this version the man considers his Christian friend "crazy" in his rejection of the Gospel)
  • "Your Big Moment", similar to "You Have a Date" except the woman is black
