Transfusion (song)

Transfusion is a novelty song performed by Nervous Norvus, the stage name for musician and truck driver Jimmy Drake.

The song, told in the first person, is that of a careless driver repeatedly violating numerous traffic laws, only to end up in a serious accident (each verse ends with the sounds of a car crash) requiring him to obtain a blood transfusion. He vows to drive carefully in the future, only to break his promise, repeating the same sequence.

The song reached #8 on the popular charts, Drake's only top-ten hit and one of only two charting singles in his career.
